Adam Ant was the most original and successful British pop star of the early 1980s and in this revealing and celebratory film the former Stuart Goddard is joined by a host of friends and admirers to tell the tale of how he became such a global star.

For the first time legendary director Mike Mansfield reveals how he put onto film the stories that Adam created for the ground-breaking videos that helped establish Adam Ant and MTV in the public consciousness.  

Also included are Adam’s original sketches and story boards, the clothes that made him the Dandy Highwayman, Prince Charming and MTV’s sexiest man in America 1983. The programme also details Adam’s struggle to overcome the disaster of Malcolm McLaren stealing his band, the thrill of Punk and the dramatic effect that the half-naked, nose-painted Ant had on the sexual psyche of girls around the world.
